Have you ever had one of those days when you feel like you are the worst parent ever???? There are so many things that happen to us each and every day where we feel we just fall short of meeting up to the standards that we set for ourselves. No matter the age of our children, we tend to compare ourselves to other parents - looking at amazing things that they seem to do with their children or how perfect everything in their world seems.
I received this devotion in my email last week and felt extremely affirmed after reading it. We are NOT perfect parents, and put very simply, I am GOING to mess up with my children. That is why I continue to pray for God to take care of my children IN SPITE OF ME!!! I also know that the older my children get, I continue to face different challenges with each of them. Without a doubt, I MUST depend on the Lord to give me the wisdom and guidance to help lead them to him.
Enjoy this devotion from Proverbs 31 Ministry. I have signed up to get their email devotions and love reading them each day.
