"Let the peace that Christ gives rule in your hearts. As parts of one body, you were appointed to live in peace. And be thankful." Colossians 3:15
It is hard to believe that the holiday season is just around the corner! In the next few weeks there will be much to do...cooking, cleaning, shopping, parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas performances, and the list goes on and on. During this busy season, it is hard to focus and remember the reason for the season.
With Thanksgiving next week, I want to challenge you to stop and think about all you have to be thankful for. I am thankful for a forgiving Savior, a wonderful job, a loving family, amazing friends, a safe home, food on the table, the cooler weather, warm clothes, and much more.
As you go about your busy week, think about what you have to be thankful for. When you are picking up your kids' toys for the tenth time today, be thankful that your children are healthy and happy. When you are washing all of the dishes from breakfast, lunch, and dinner, that have collected throughout the day, be thankful you had food to eat. When you are playing taxi for your children, be thankful you have reliable transportation. When you are doing the seventh load of laundry today, be thankful you have clothes to wear.
We all have something to be thankful for, whether it be big or small. Take time right now and thank the One who has provided for you and is always with you!
We pray you all have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
